i don't feel as though I have been 'here before'. Rose. It has taken me a long, long time to get the hang of THIS life and make some sense of it that I feel I must be a very young soul...first time round so to speak :-D XX BC

BC would you want to 'come back' if you had the choice?

I have had a lot of hypno-therapy and I might say it was one of the best things I have ever done.

My therapist has made it so that I can put myself into trance if necessary.I do it at thedentist particularly but I have been known to regress myself even though my therapist told me not to.

When I first started hypnosis and the stress was leaving me,without trying,I was always in a hallway of a place with the door open but I think I was being walled up.

All I can ever remember afterwards is little bits but I have been in a garden where there were women in what looked like Elizabethan costume in red and yellow and a man hiding in a shed with a black bottle of a distinctive shape.

I was a child in a room with a woman in a cardigan sitting at a table. There was a time with crusaders with long poles and once there were helmets that I think were Cromwellian.

It could be past lives or it could be my memory and imagimnation having a field day.Dunno.

There is something here, Rose. I don't understand it, but we seem to have photographic memory of places we have never been to. It was exceptionally strong between my mother and her mother. My grandma was born 1888 and mum 1924. Yet mum could tell her all about her childhood in 1890's. Huge amount of detail. Very, very spooky.

Jenny Cockell was an ordinary mother of 2 living a mile away from us in Northamptonshire. She wrote a book about Malahide near Dublin. I was fascinated with it. See this on you tube:

My daughter has just moved and last week-end I went for a first time visit. I said to her that I felt as if I had been there before. the whole house and grounds seemed very familiar. The house was built in the 1920's.

I have always felt that I have been here before. I can remember back to eighteen months old. Even when five I felt as if I was older than most people.

We have two Family members who when born we felt as if they had been here before, just by the way they look through you.

Is it real? Who knows, but it seems real.

No likelihood that you were taken there as a child Susan?

Would I want to come back, Rose? Most definitely! :-D

Susan10146857 Report 2 Feb 2013 16:38

No Ann, I have never been there at all. The part of the country where I live now is not a place my parents ever visited.

I know that the place where I 'went' was not somewhere my mum took me as a child, because I asked her ( I remembered it when I was a child, but asked again over the years). I remembered the music, which I recognised later as being played on a lute.

Have you ever read 'The Celestine Prophecy' by James Redfield, Rose?

I have read it several times & each time think, well some of this seems very possible.

I would come back to relive my life as so far it has been a good life, ups, downs and sadness yes, but only that which I have been able to cope with, hopefully the rest of my time will be as good and also long enough for me to enjoy it.

One of my grandchildren was very 'knowing' and on the day after he was born a nurse asked my D. how old he was and when told 1 day said he's been here before, one of the health visitors also said the same about him. Out of all of my grandchildren he was the only one that had that said about them.

Another grandchild about the age of 4/5 did tell their mom that they could see dead people in the local cemetery, mom didn't like going past it with the kids after that. :-)

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met. :-)

JustJohn Report 2 Feb 2013 18:24

Well, BudgeBob, that absolutely proves you are psychic. Otherwise you would not have known that she had left you prior to first date :-D

I had a girlfriend once

No, that's it :-(

Carol I will look out for the book, it sounds interesting from what I've read on Wiki. :-)

This "I have been here before" seems to happen to many family historians. I know I have been to places wheer I seem to know exactly where I am going, even though I have never been to the place before.

Abingdon is quite a large town and I knew there was a Martyr's Memorial there. But I had no idea where it was and it certainly wasn't signposted in those days (20 years ago). Yet I parked my car 100 yards away and walked directly to it. Could have been coincidence, I suppose.
