Bob:-D :-D :-D Quite a number of speed cameras were set on fire by people two steps away, Bob. But usually behind camera :-D

Still trying to thing what I am expert at. Many others on this thread are struggling too, it appears ;-)

You are an expert at rugby, history of Walsall, being nice, Paula :-D

I appear to be an expert at winding people up (which is a new talent that I did not think I had till all my new Genes friends told me).

Oh, and I know a lot about 14th century Welsh poetry. ;-)

What a pity that once again several members have decided to spoil what could have been an interesting idea for a thread :-(

Though I do not think of myself as an expert & because of arthritic thumbs can no longer do it, I used to be quite good at invisible darning.

Many a School blazer was saved from the bin, by me when I worked in a Boarding school.

JohnLovesHorlicks Report 2 Feb 2013 21:06

I am an expert at asking leading questions that demand a "yes" or "no" answer.

Perhaps I should have asked "what do you consider yourself to be expert at?" :-D

It is interesting that, as we get older, we can lose many of the skills and knowledge we once held dear. But perhaps we replace those lost skills with something else :-)

Carol, Yes it could have been an interesting thread but i personally would not have used the word Ultimate in the thread title and the OP should have listed what area he was considered an expert in rather than his opening statement (I have been wanting to start a thread for a long time about all my areas of great expertise)

I think everyone has the ability to and probably is an expert in at least one area whether it be through life experience or something learnt through work or a hobby

I have at least 3 areas that i would not class myself as an expert but I'm very knowledgeable, But i would not promote these subjects or my superior knowledge of them on this forum (I would not want to bore you all to death)

C'mon John, what are you an ultimate expert at?

You aren't going to get serious answers unless you begin..................seriously.

Muffy's specialist subject is Doc Martins over the past 50 years ;-)

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 2 Feb 2013 21:36

JohnLovesHorlicks

JohnLovesHorlicks Report 2 Feb 2013 21:47

I know a lot about the Isles of Scilly.

And the Great Awakening of 18th century

And, I suppose, geography of England and Wales - having driven some 1.3 million miles since I passed my test in Oct 1963.

But really struggling, and am not trying to be modest. I can give a much larger list of things I cannot do - gardening, house painting, playing a musical instrument, working out what is wrong with my computer, car mechanics.....:-( :-( :-(

Just asked OH and she said "You are very good a general knowledge" :-D :-D :-D
