My all time favourite Welsh rugby player was Mervyn Davies ( Merve the swerve) sadly no longer with us but one of the best. in my opinion <3

Yes ,he deserved Man of the Match , not sure about PM tho Ann ;-)

Funny we were talking about Welsh Rugby players today ! What a surprise ;-)

I've met Barry John , Phil Bennett and Gerald Davies.

Barry John when he visited our school , he was great chatting to everyone.

Phil Bennett, I almost literally bumped into in the Council Offices in Llanelli , where I was having a works Union meeting ...I just said Hi ,recognising the face ,but not realising initially who he was, he stopped and we chatted as to why he was there and why I was there..lovely guy.

Gerald Davies ,my all time hero. I was attending a conference meeting with work , he was at the same venue with his entourage ,doing something for TV.
I couldn't resist making contact with him , (I had a full length photo of him on my bedroom wall as a teenager).
He was kind enough to take a break and have a chat...I didn't drool !!! difficult tho, it was sensible conversation on my part and he was just down to earth chatting, same as Phil Bennett.

I expect they are used to 'young fans' chatting to them :-D

What was the question ? ...I've come over all flustered at the reminder of the last meeting with the fast side stepping winger. ;-)

Leigh Halfpenny is 'fit' too. :-D

J P R Williams dealt with my broken arm in CRI many moons ago

Steve Fenwick came into the office quite a bit - he was a medical rep if I remember rightly

Ann, I did wonder about Mr Daff being coached by Gerald ;-)

He would have been in his mid 20's in the late 60's..don't know how old Mr Daff is ;-)
:-D

Paula mentioned Mervyn Davies (1946-2012). He was on "Welsh Greats" this week. Had not realised his dad (Dai Davies) was also a Welsh international - back in late 1940's.
