My eldest does cookery ..but only for one term per school year x

Packed lunch is a choice by parents and child.....if the parents can be bothered to make them.

On the horse meat saga, there's a very good chance that most of our parents & grand parents had little choice in the two World Wars, you just ate what was available.

They seem to have stopped domestic science, although surprised when grandson of 14 says he still does it.. Think all children should be taught how to cook, unfortunately a lot of their mothers don't know how to.

If I had kids at school now I would be GIVING them a packed lunch .. when I was at school we were taught how to cook it was called domestic science

I think it;'s VERY misguided to be suggesting that they be banned when it's already been stated that there is a very good chance that the horse meat has made it into our children's school dinners.!!!!!!! Not to mention that I just instinctively don't like being dictated to by the government !!!!

Do think the idea of every child being able to cook up to 20 dishes before they leave school is a good one though.

What do you think?
