THIRD HELPING - SNOW

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

Julia

Julia Report 11 Feb 2013 08:12

We are now facing our third helping of snow, and when I got up today, had a covering of about 3 inches. Although forecasted for last night, I honestly thought after all the rain we had yesterday, it would not settle. I was obviously wrong.
Any thoughts I had been having of starting a little 'light gardening' eg tidying up etc. have now been put on the back burner for a little while yet. And, it has not been forecasted to get any better before next weekend.
Hey ho, I'll just have to put another bob in the meter, and keep hugging up to the radiator.
Hope you all are fairing abit better than us. Take Care

~~~~~~~~~~~@Von
I was beginning to think we were having private weather in our bit of the south.
Still snow in N London. Was a bit heavier half an hour a go.
I guessed we'd get this as they have had it really bad in NE US and we usually get their cast offs :-(
That's true Island - I thought the same about us getting the tail end of it. I've just been out ( won't say where, but it rhymes with fresco ;-) ) and it's not that cold here. It's stopped snowing now and hasn't settled, but very wet.
Gonna have to be pesky housework to-day :-(
~~~~~~~~~ waves to all :-)

In our part of Kent we had a couple of cm over night. Although it's still snowing slightly, the laying snow is melting. :-D

Half an hours ago it was still a light fluttering of snow, now I think it is turning to rain. Fingers crossed no more will fall.

We had snow yesterday (Sunday) it settled but temps were just around the freezing mark.

Today t is around one degree centigrand so the snow is melting (a bit).

However, the skies are white, so if temp. drops again, I reckon that we will be getting more of that horrible white stuff.

Haven't seen the local forecast, at the moment I would rather wait and see what happens

At least I am one of the fortunate people, I don't have to go out unless I want to!
