I would leave the once out all together :-D

But grammar and me don't mix too well.. lol

Cockroaches yuck!! we trapped one in a matchbox after our boss assured us that we were imagining that a cockroach could exist 11 floors up in building that was practically hermetically sealed.

Never try to squish a cockroach that knows it's life is threatened, this one produced zillions of live young...quite revolting

Now c'mon Rose. Did you once read the book, read the book once, or what? It's like that Panda going into the restaurant again, isn't it!
Anyway I do wish you'd told me the thing about putting bed legs in cans of petrol, it would've come in handy when we lived in Riyadh.....the cockroaches were that big I used to send them to the kitchen to do the washing up!!! Horrid things.
Hate that crackling noise when you stamp on them :-P

it was set in Nashville, and the main character wanted to be a C & W singer, she stayed in a cheap boarding house and spotted a golden cockroach, she thought it might be a good omen...someone had accidentally sprayed it with gold paint instead of roach killer.

Did you know you can keep roaches off your bed by putting the legs in tins of petrol ( the bed legs not the roaches' legs.... still, either would work probably!) :-D
