Well,I've broken it.

I was steaming a pudd'n day before yesterday with the steamer standing on the hob and when I refilled the steamer I managed to tip quite a lot of water down the back of the stove.

Woken up at 3.30 yesterday morning by Fred shouting. The stove had tripped the circuit which keeps his mattress inflated. It was quite hard to find him in the depths of the bed.

Luckily I have a cousin who is a domestic appliance engineer.

Oh Sharron that's tough :-0

They don't make them like they used to....It should have been better insulated then that. Hope you manage to get it fixed, perhaps a word with the manufacturer before you try to proceed yourself.

Good Luck :-)

Sharron, if your cousin fixes it won't it negate the guarantee?

My cousin has been.

He had the cooker back off and could find nothing wrong with it.

Eventually we realized that there was a bit ofplasticmissing from the cable.Rather than put yet another oiece of gaffer tape on the cable permanently he is getting me a new bit of cable.

I am pleased my nice new cooker is not really to blame.

Great that your cousin has helped find out what was wrong and hope your cooker will be fine once the new cable is fitted.

Oh Sharron, I couldnt help laughing at the thought of Fred being engulfed by the mattress. I am still shaking with laughter. But at least no real damage was done (i hope). :-D :-D :-D
