HAS NOW RE-OPENED
AFTER IT`S 4 MILLION POUND REFURBISHMENT!!!!


Derbyshire Records Office can be found on New St ,Matlock
They have now increased their archive space and also now have a local studies area.
According to the Matlock Mercury,it now has more than 5 miles,of existing historic documents,some dating back nearly 800 years-with additiona storage for a further 3 miles of shelving as the collection grows.

Opening hours are
9-30am---5pm(Monday to Friday)
9-30am---1pm(Saturdays)

As all my Dad's side of my family came from Derbyshire I will be down as soon as it gets warmer.

I have quite a bit of info to look up..
