Had it this week. It is nearly £600 and I am not surprised. I thinkI must keeo the electricity company shareholders very happy indeed.

We have no gas here but what we do have is Mr Tiggywinkleand his mighty tumble dryer!

I can't make clothes dirty quickly enoughfor him andsometimes he does two loads a day.

It would have been so much cheaper to put him to bed when he came home and lead him to believe that he was incapable of doing anything.

Come the better weather you could fit a vertical pole to the rear of his wheelchair, then when he goes out and about he could dry a line of washing for you that way.

I seem to find so many items in the wash that say Do not tumble dry.
What happens in your house? Does it all just go in....and does it still fit later?

It all goes in unless I am quick enough to save it.

Now,if I could rig up some kind of rotary clothes line on the top of his wheelchair that went round as he travelled along he might even be able to fly!

...Now there's a thought...

I am not always sure where he is now. Would have no idea at all then.

The cat likes to travel on the wheelchair table.I suppose he would have to go too.

If it is a separate drier - disable it! Take the fuse out.

It is an expense I budget for. It is worth paying that (well a bit more anyway) to have Fred doing the washing and drying (but that he did the ironing too,but we must be grateful for what we have).

I did make him try pegging something on the line but did relent on that one because it meant him holding his arm above his head for a long time.

I buy more washing up liquid than I do diesel because it is worth it to have him washing up rather than being a stroke victim.

I know Sharron you have done and are doing a good job in making Fred independent, so you will know best. <3

And I have made such a good job of it that he would only put the bloody fuse back in and carry on.

I sure know how to shoot myself in the foot!
