Lol Stray...yes I'd feel pretty miffed if I were Suzanne...How dare she not answer her messages lololololo....I haven't watched it but I wouldn't have the guts to do it so she has my immediate admiration.

Anyone who posts negative comments about the long standing helpers on the boards...deserves negative comments back as far as I am concerned

Oh and she does'nt return to threads where she has asked for help either

Watched it, not gonna say much except agree with comments re asking for permission to add living rellies. GR should have picked that up before publishing.

Was part of the conditions of volunteering that you had to be a major helper on the boards? Or is it ok for folk who do their tree without the trumpets and balloons to get involved too?

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 19 Feb 2013 19:48

most people who help others dont blow their own trumpets
well dont the unsung heros of GR :-D :-D

Muffy, I believe there was no requirement for trumpets and balloons and from my observations no requirement for you to have ever helped any one let alone be good at it or a major helper,

As for being Brave, If people want to congratulate anyone for sticking their neck above the parapet then thats all well and good but I don't think bravery comes in to it

Just my opinion

Susanne wa brave to volunteer ................ or very foolish!!

GR sent me an invitation to video my TOP TIPS .................... but they wouldn't travel to Canada, or pay for me to go to London :-(

I did have one very major problem with Susanne ........................ I could not understand much of what she said :-(

and that is going to be a problem for many people who are not used to English accents.

It may be something that GR should pay attention in future video tips

I say that understanding that people may not understand me ................ I still have a Lancashire accent 45 years after leaving the UK. :-)

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 19 Feb 2013 20:20

i think she was brave too

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 19 Feb 2013 20:24

I had no problem understanding her, what are GR supposed to do? Everyone will have some sort of accent whether they be in the UK or not. They could run subtitles I suppose..lolol

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 19 Feb 2013 20:26

Just watched it and had no problem understanding her either.

I think the nit picking is to do with the fact that Suzanne is on record as saying she feels some of the replies from some of the helpers would be off putting to a newbie...and i'm inclined to agree with her.

She came across as very friendly....I think she's done well.
