do you not read anything John?As stated earlier the poll was carried out four months ago.
If you start a thread at least have the decency to read other people's additions!

Nearly twelve hours almost after having to rush out after posting your thread before you come back to it ! ....Give us a break !

It's just not on, like Errol said have the decency to reply to people that add to your your thread....that's what you don't seem to understand about the boards.

If you have had some sort of emergency which made you rush out I apologise .

But you've done it before. I'm finished on this thread . Bye

:-S

I have just read back through this thread & really cannot understand why 3 people felt the need to mount an attack on the OP overnight.

The Supermarket we choose to shop at will depend on several reasons, the main one's being the money we have to spend on our groceries & their locality. I tend to shop in Sainsburys because it is closest & with their price match is no more expensive than the others.

The special offers vary across the country, the Tesco's Dizzi goes to has many that are not available in the one nearest to me & it is the same with all of the others.

We did shop at Waitrose a lot when we could afford it. And yes, it is excellent. It is up the top of the market with M & S.

And these discounters are very good. I like Lidl very much because they have exotic meals at good prices - lobster, escargots, three bird roasts, antelope etc etc. And their non foods are excellent and good value too.

I prefer Morrisons as I like their return to old style market stalls round the perimeter. But I was very surprised that Tesco got such a bad rating 4 months ago - and my immediate thoughts was that Which were trying to get publicity for their report and it would not influence anyone. Tesco will be a lot more worried about the triple dip recession in UK and horsemeat.

Incidentally, what is all this about reading your own thread? When did that rule come in :-S :-S

Threads can be much more fun if OP butts out completely. Particularly if it is me.

Note my threads always settle down after about 30 posts when about 3 or 4 posters have vented their bile at me. If it helps your digestion and your day, feel free.

Not goading. Just an observation.

I did write a follow up to my Tesco post yesterday about it being a Which report (they were taken quite seriously 30 years ago) but second post got lost in ether. :-)

Carol Paine.

My general understanding of the boards is that if you start a thread for discussion / chat / a joke you hang around to see the response and reply......well I do !

I was one of the people who criticised not attacked John for not reading the response to the postings on his thread, and whilst you mentioned it was overnight, you will see from a lot of my postings that that time is when I catch up with posts, I am a 'night owl ' not a 'night stalker '. My post was not 'attacking 'John.

JohnlovesC,
I do think that most people who wanted a genuine chat / discussion on their new thread would hang around and reply to the responses .
It isn't a rule , mere etiquette.
You state yourself this morning that Threads can be more fun if OP butts out completely particularly if it is you !
That may be your over inflated view of yourself, but most people keep an eye on the thread they have started, and when they don't they quite often have similar comments from people have responded ....asking ' Where has OP gone' so No..it is not just you, posters ask the same question of other people too.

Strange that your 'second post got lost in ether' ....with a smile added to the sentence !

BTW.. I quite like Tesco's then again I also like Asda a little more.

Sandie.

who gives a toss where John does his shopping - I'll shop anywhere and can only hope I never bump into him in any of the shops I frequent - I'm sure I'll recognise him - have seen his photograph :-S - not by his appearance, but by his constant waffle about every subject under the sun and beyond
