Elspet Gray, the wife of Sir Brian Rix has died at the age of 83.

She was a beautiful woman as I recall and their Downs Syndrome daughter,Shelley was the reason that she and Sir Brian became so very involved with MENCAP.

Yes she was a lovely lady.I saw them a few times in the Whitehall farces.
Think their son is an actor.

I always aspired to look like her in my later years, especially her hairstyle and cheekbones. Or maybe Emma Thompson's mum. Didn't happen.

They were a truly lovely couple who worked tirelessly for charity.
