on Tuesday I saw lots of celandines - a real herald of Spring and saw my first wild promroses!!! I bet they wish they'd stayed underground now

My Daphne is blooming nicely and the frost has made next door's pink camelias go brown

I found a very fat green caterpiller today. It was in the middle of the park path so I picked it up thinking it was dead to have a closer look. The warmth from my hands must have got through to it and I saw it was alive so I carefully placed it amonst the dead leaves under a bush. Hopefully it will survive the rest of the winter,( to eat my plants) I suspect. :-D

I have 3 budding magnolias ....of course, one of them is named Susan :-D

I do so love watching England bud into spring, sigh. As for cheering up, I will when the cows come home :-D

My magnolia is full of buds too Gwynne, I'll be cross as you will be if the frost gets them without them flowering :-(
