My Son, his Wife and our three grandchildren are returning to the UK next week after living/working in Qatar for the past five years.

We will be able to see them more often ,other than just on Skype, thats if we get invited of course, although they will be living 100 miles from us, better than the 3500 miles though, but i have enjoyed the 4 trips we have made to Qatar, just to see the price of petrol at 14p a litre.

My son in Oz who lost his wife in 2010 has announced that he is getting married, hopefully in May.Im so pleased for him as he has had a hard time with 2 children..one now a teenager and the other almost 12 ...going on 18.
His future wife is a chef with her own cafe/ restaurant never been married...so I think she's very brave taking on a ready made family.
I would love to go over ,but I have a health problem that needs sorting before I can make plans....we will see.

I have also had a blast from the past .....Had a call from the firm I used to work for to say that our managing director ,living in Brisbane is celebrating 50 years with the company and wants a lot of us oldies who knew him well to attend a summer ball.
Im up for that, but not sure when it is .Talk of it being in Northampton.
You never know what's round the corner! :-)

Sil and her OH have their silver wedding and both celebrating their 70th birthdays with a big "do". It's my golden wedding (and my Dad thought it wouldn't last!), niece is getting married at a posh venue. I refuse to wear a hat but I might invest in a new outfit.

Also looking forward to some warmer weather. Lots to look forward to.
