	The Miracle of Computers! Hope you enjoy this one- it's interesting to see all that is included. It would prove invaluable assistance to anyone studying history or biographies. Well worth saving for students.Now take a look at this picture..... Painted by Chinese Artists, Dai Dudu, Li Tiezi and Zhang An, oil on canvas, 2006. This painting is truly remarkable. Even more amazing though, is that the canvas has been computerized. When you click on the link below, a much bigger version of the computerized painting appears. Run your cursor over the people. The programme tells you who they are - every single one of them. BUT (click on a person) and you obtain the individual’s life history. This is fascinating... Can keep you busy for hours! 	Stephen Actually the photo is of my Dad, the picture was taken in 1938 whilst he was onboard HMS Blanche, place unkown. I used to have this info on my research interests, must have forgot to do it after my computer did a wobbly a few ago, and i lost everything. Will put it back in now. George

	George, HMS Blanche.....if my memory serves me correctly her claim to fame is she was the first RN Ship to be sunk in WW2. Can't remember if it was a torpedo or a mine but it was I think in the Thames Estuary in 1939. I have an interest in the Royal Navy, I've been invited to visit the RNs latest warship that is just being completed on the Clyde......looking forward to that..

	Something similar here George. I think some of them went a bit doolally with the tagging (top of the page image) If you follow the pathway through the crowd zoom in on the vehicle between the buildings on the right. You can read the number plate quite easily. Follow the road behind the ambulance and you can see part of Nottingham Castle garden at the end of the road... 	George the photo of your dad always reminds me of a Hollywood movie, the type with Sinatra and Kelly in.....its lovely

	Stephen Your memory serves you well, she was the first ship to be sunk in WW2 yes it was a mine, fortunately my Dad had moved to another ship by then.One of many he served on, especially HMS Fiji which was sunk off the island of Crete in 1941, with the loss of 500 plus sailors. My Dad was one of the 243 that survived, but spent about 12 hours in the sea, awaitng to be rescued, its a long story. George
