Simple Rule - "Never" click on a link in any e-mail that asks you for your bank or credit card details :-)

Thanks all, really helpful info. Was wondering what to do about it, but the main thing is to protect vulnerable people. :-D :-D

I've had one, and knew it was a scam, as I rarely give out my e-mail address and know they would send me a letter.
I reported it to the tax people.

Yes both OH and I have had those emails, clue for me was I haven't paid tax for several years.

Has anyone else had one of these. My OH checked it out, and we think it was a scam to get bank details etc., The clue that all was not ok was that it was sent to my email address. Also, no address, just Customs and Excise, London. Refunds, by post only.

Would be interested to know, if anyone has had one, also as a warning, to check out the authenticity of same.

Sue :-)
