AIR FILTER FOR WOOD BURNING BOILER

I am not sure there is such a thing?. All our Councils are getting onto the bandwagon re Clean Air Bill. Rightly so, but, they are in the throws of drafting a local bylaw which which render our boiler (sits outside of the house but warms us by hot air through inground ducting) obsolete....

OH and I have been looking online at replacement options. There is one option, with a price tag of $20,000.00. Now I know we can't be spending that much, just ridiculous.

If any one knows of any 'filter' that fits atop a chimney and is market proven in reducing emissions, we would love to hear about them. It would need to be approved, re PM10 measurements.

The draft plan if passed, will render our fire illegal and in need of decomissioning by Dec 1 2013. We get the use of the fire this winter.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions. Off to work soon so will check back later. OH has a ten minute slot today to present our case to a full council meeting.... We are not gamblers - but I wouldn't put any money on us citizens to achieve a positive result :-(.
