I have 3 people staying at the weekend (daughter & husband and grand daughter - other daughter's daughter) - thank goodness I haven't been shoved into B & B due to the bedroom tax - yet, no, of course it won't affect my family life!!!
I will be moving random boxes into my bedroom to enable peoples to access beds/sofa beds. Is this housework? Have I been infected by the virus?

lol ~ just read some of the posts

I have bursitis in my right hip....... does that mean I have Housemaid's Hip?

I'm trying to get laundry done (first clear day for over a week)........ but with the bursitis playing up and my cranky body, I'm NOT having a good day!!

I think I enjoy cooking for a number of reasons........
1 I enjoy eating :-D
2 It's about the only thing I can do without bending very much (getting things out of low cupboards can be a nightmare)
3 I enjoy eating
4 I enjoy eating
:-D

Why don't we have a "food" emoticon? :-) ;-)

I don't often get an attack of this but....
I caught it at the end of last week, got it bad and It's still with me, but I know the cause of this outbreak.
It's called sunshine!
Cold, frosty evenings are turning into beautiful sunny days and then.. I turn into my own mother.
I can't wait to get the washing done and hung out to dry in the sun!
I am like a woman posessed.
I have even got to the stage where I am seeking things out, just to wash them.

Now for the shame.....
I spotted a wee bit of dust on 2 pairs of voile curtains and promptly took them down.
I put them in warm soapy water... which immediatelty turned into .... a muddy brown sludge!
How on earth did that happen? They looked perfectly white to me yesterday? Thankfully, they are brilliant white again... and billowing on the line, and will soon be hanging back on the( newly washed and polished) windows
Off to see what else I can find for another load.
Will I ever get better?

Well I won't get it, because I'm not allowed to do Housework, on Doctor's orders. A few years ago I had bursitis on the knee a couple of times. So I asked my brother who is a GP what to do to avoid it happening again, and quick as a flash he said "Avoid Housework" So I do.
(The common name for this problem is Housemaid's knee ! )

I hate housework :-(

I love to cook :-D

If there is a loony near me who enjoys housework I'll do a trade!

You clean my house and I'll cook you a three course dinner!

Bonus: you're not expected to do the washing up :-D

Can men catch this virus, Only I'm a stay at home husband and so I'm now responsible for all housework,

problem is if i catch the virus chocolate (or wine) antidote is wasted on me,

Will Bottles of Becks beer or john smiths extra smooth down the pub be equally affective

A virus is going around called Housework. If you feel the need to start housework- stop immediately! This virus affects your sleep and wipes out your social life. It causes you to be late for lunch with friends and disrupts coffee get-togethers. It
makes you grumpy and irritable. If you should come in contact with housework go straight to the nearest store and get the only known antidote which is called CHOCOLATE (or wine). Please forward this warning immediately to at least six friends. If you realize you do not have 6 friends, you are already infected.
