Dermot Report 2 Mar 2013 11:31

“Adopt a Cardinal” is the latest initiative launched after the resignation of Benedict XVI. It allows people to “adopt” a Cardinal for whom they can pray for in the days before the conclave. Its purpose is to get thousands of people to show support through prayer for each Cardinal.

All you need is an email address, and to visit www.adoptacardinal.org. The site assigns you a Cardinal and sends you more information about him to get to know him better.

To date, more than 60,000 have logged on to the site and signed up to adopt a Cardinal.
