Heartbreaking for the family, there are such lowlife about these days who have no respect or thought for anyone but themselves. Hope the medals are found soon and that karma happens to the thieves

Heart breaking.

This theft was in the same town where scum stole a life size bronze statue of a soldier commemerating the Boer war. It had stood in the town for c100 years.

Disgraceful is nowhere near a strong enough word.

Anyone who buys these medals without informing the police, will be committing a crime.

Most UK military medals are stamped with the recipients Service Number, Rank, Name and Unit, though the Number is sometimes omitted.

Medals such as those awarded by NATO, the UN, and British Empire crosses (MBE, OBE etc.,) and 'Jubilee type' unfortunately,do not.

Not sure with some of the older ones in the collection shown, but there will be some with these identifying markings.

I don't think they will go to a buyer Mr Daff, more likely they are melted down as there is a high demand for metals by a certain country.
Some will pinch your fillings if you do a big yawn :-|
