It's awful that Jean is suffering infections, Jude, makes you wonder why so many infections in these days of such knowledge and things to stop them. A disgrace that the infection behind her ears wasn't noticed or dealt with quickly, and a sad sign of the times I think. I fear going into hospital at any time because of the laxness of the care. Hope Jean will be able to eat more easily soon, and feel better too.

Send her my love and best wishes please and thanks for being a good pal to her.

Morning....another quick update....

It was quite sad to see Jean yesterday, not the Jean l know at all. She so needs company to keep her brain active, she was on the ball some times, others confused.
Someone has mentioned speaking to a church she may have attended, incase anyone from there could visit, but l don't think she did!

Back in the week as we won't be seeing her now til Thursday:(

Poor Jean, hope things soon look brighter.

The hospital do have people who volunteer their time to visit patients,

Salvation Army may have a team that do hospital visits

Poor Jean and Phil, I do hope things improve for them both and Jean starts to feel lots better soon and more with it. I suppose the anaesthetic didn't help, it often takes some time to recover from the dose given and can make people confused. Also is Jean getting enough liquids as dehyrdration can make things worse.

Shame there aren't more visitors to chat to her. Now if she had someone on the wards like my Mum, she would chat to anyone and everyone. Even when the doc told her to rest and relax she would be nattering away to someone in the next bed or passing by lol I know where I get it from lol

Hope to hear better news soon.

Jude I suppose he knows Jean better than we do and maybe he knows she wouldn't like people being asked to visit her because she is proud.
