It's awful that Jean is suffering infections, Jude, makes you wonder why so many infections in these days of such knowledge and things to stop them. A disgrace that the infection behind her ears wasn't noticed or dealt with quickly, and a sad sign of the times I think. I fear going into hospital at any time because of the laxness of the care. Hope Jean will be able to eat more easily soon, and feel better too.

Send her my love and best wishes please and thanks for being a good pal to her.

Morning....another quick update....

It was quite sad to see Jean yesterday, not the Jean l know at all. She so needs company to keep her brain active, she was on the ball some times, others confused.
Someone has mentioned speaking to a church she may have attended, incase anyone from there could visit, but l don't think she did!

Back in the week as we won't be seeing her now til Thursday:(

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 29 Apr 2013 06:39

Poor Jean and Phil, I do hope things improve for them both and Jean starts to feel lots better soon and more with it. I suppose the anaesthetic didn't help, it often takes some time to recover from the dose given and can make people confused. Also is Jean getting enough liquids as dehyrdration can make things worse.

Shame there aren't more visitors to chat to her. Now if she had someone on the wards like my Mum, she would chat to anyone and everyone. Even when the doc told her to rest and relax she would be nattering away to someone in the next bed or passing by lol I know where I get it from lol

Hope to hear better news soon.

~`*`Jude`*`~ Report 29 Apr 2013 10:57

Me again:0

l have spoken to Phil re asking for volunteers to pop and chat with jean, but he did'nt think it a good idea. Maybe l can sort of look into it on the quiet, but also l can't interfere!!

ButtercupFields Report 29 Apr 2013 11:00

Thanks for keeping us in touch, Jude. Our love, as ever, goes to Jean <3

AnninGlos Report 29 Apr 2013 11:02

Jude I suppose he knows Jean better than we do and maybe he knows she wouldn't like people being asked to visit her because she is proud.

~`*`Jude`*`~ Report 29 Apr 2013 11:19

AnnG...oh yes l think that is the case, he said she finds it difficult to bond,l won't interfere, he does know best, but its a shame:((
