l had a phone call from Phil 10 mins ago to say

Very very sadly Jean passed away at 5.30 this morning.
She can rest in peace now, out of pain out of worry.
What a fighter, such a lovely, lovely lady.
Loved the simple things in life.
l loved every minute that l was with her apart from seeing her so ill.
l knew this was about to happen after seeing her on Thursday, such a change in her.
RIP lovely lady <3 <3 <3 <3

Oh Jude - so sad that she should have undergone such a dreadful operation and then to die - my heart goes out to Phil - he must be in pieces - in a way I suppose it could be seen as a blessing in disguise cos she is no longer in pain and suffering - I do hope Phil will be able to cope

Jean was such a lovely lady and I am so glad I was able to meet her that day in Abergvenny

On behalf of us al thanks you for being there for jean, you were a great friend to her. I have to say that this doesn't come as a great surprise although i am still so ver sad that it ended thisway.

I know there comes a time when a loved one's suffering is too much but it's never easy for the family and friends to accept that when it happens.

I am so very sorry to read this sad news.
Jean has been in my thoughts alot these last few days, especially when I was in a nearby town, her birthplace.
Such a great shame that she had to endure that big operation, then fight infections, but it all became too much.

Thank you for all that you and Vic did for her to show you care.
Please offer Phil my condolences. He must feel so lost poor man.
