I hope all went well as could be expected for Phil family and very good friends today.

It will be difficult but very dignified for a service a Skenfrith afterwards.

I've scoured back and found the Aber photos she looked so full of life ,radiant and was such an interesting person to whom to speak .

Goodnight Auntie Jean RIP <3 <3

Thinking of Phil and family ,Jude and Vic,who were as much as family.
Take care all
love

Morning everyone....
l have c & P this from the Welsh thread from YESTERDAY....

Hello everyone...

Got back a few hours ago from saying goodbye to Auntie Jean....a very quiet service with about 20 people, mostly neighbours and friends!!

Jeans g/niece read the eulogy and talked about GR and how Jean was involved, also how she loved her pc and kindle:)) she read out the message Susan NZ added to this thread:))
We met one of Jeans neighbours for the first time, lovely lady and of course neighbours who we had had contact with before.
We will see Phil in the morning with a few bits of shopping.

Take care all

In 2008 Jean wrote some stories for the Church at Skenfrith, the stories were about how she came to live in this area and how she considered it her home and did'nt want to leave it. Well she won't ever leave it now. She and her son are together now in the church yard next to a bench with their sons name on.

Pleased to hear that the memorial service went off well. Maybe Phil could have Jean's name added to her son's bench.
