Liz that is a good description of me - an apple belly since I am so less mobile. |

Oh Chris, let me in on the secret, please. Mind you, if it means getting down on the floor I would struggle to get up, my knees are so painful nowadays and with my dodgy hip too, would have to be alone so I could do the contortions necessary to stand up againwithout o.h. laughing his socks off lol |

Midriff worries? try a body stocking (they get gradually stronger and stronger until they get called a corset). They don't lose you any weight but they do tidy up what my generation used to call a spare tyre but now is apparently a muffin top |

I thought about that Elizabeth or maybe some of those tough pants but find them difficult to put on with my hands. I think I have the answer - maternity pants. How desperate it that. |

Oh Vera, I used to see my mother struggle into corsets or a bra and corset in one and swore I would never put myself through that, and I haven't! I used to have to get my elderly neighbour her corsets too and again told myself I would never wear them. The most I wore when young were those elasticated roll ones with suspenders but then tights came along and that was it. I think I have always had a bit of a tummy even when I was a skinny teenager, I used to stand badly so had a sway back too. |

I get so annoyed at clothing lengths. I see a dress or skirt that I like, only to find it ends 3or4 inches above my knee. |

Gins, I find the opposite, last year I liked several of Sainsbury's tops but the size I needed was lots longer than the smaller sizes as were the sleeves. Another woman was complaining of the same thing. There are no changing rooms in our Sainsburys so have to buy an armful of stuff, bring it home to try on and then take back what doesn't fit. |
