I thought that perhaps your Potato Peeler had gone out for his Sausage Sandwich with his mate. :-D :-D

My dishwasher is going to have to go without his sausage sandwich this week. Hasn't been a potato peeler since the cataracts got bad.

Well,he has his little board with the spikes in to hold the spuds by his lap and you really like to be careful where you are wielding your peeler when you can't see very well!

Merlin

Merlin Report 5 Mar 2013 14:05

Could make a vast difference, even a change of personality if not careful. :-D :-D

you think it's quiet on here
some of the scooter forums have had next to nothing since sept/oct
should all come out of hibernation soon though then the abuse can start again

must get down to the shed soon havn';t even looked at my lambretta since the coast to coast ride in sept 600 mile on an old italian shopping bike is enough for quite a while

Oh terryj

Those were the days on my Vespa 125 scooting round the countryside for miles. I was in a Vespa Club and on weekends we would all go off to different places.
If I remember rightly there was a little bit of , sorry cant think of the word, anyway between the Vespa and the Lambretta riders.
Mine was pale blue with tassels on the handlebars and a windscreen that whenever I was off to the seaside or somewhere my dad used to stick the directions on. My early sat nav. I had it from my parents on my 16th birthday
Happy days :-D :-D

Barb, I had a Vespa 90, for my 16th birthday too !! It was bright blue reg, 16 GTB probably worth something these days.( the reg, not the bike) I had the Tigers tail and handlebar tassels.

Didn't go down too well as I met my husband soon after and most of his friends were proper bikers.Actually, I had two as the first one got stolen and was found burnt out a year later up on the Common.

In the end I got a Honda 90, haha and then a Honda 175 which I had to swap or a car as I was expecting No. 1 Son.

How exciting was that ???? M

Lovely Maryanna

When I think what I used to wear on it. High heels no helmet, big skirts with lots of petticoats. That didnt last too long though as dad got very strict with me. Passed the test first time too.

Dont think I could balance on a pusbike now LOL

wont tell you what your scoot would be worth now(hate to see a grown woman cry)
lambretta sx200 are about £6000+
tell my wife my scoot is part of our pension pot so have to spend on it to preserve its value(she will catch on one day)

Barb, I know. I always wore a helmet but those long dresses and skirts were the fashion in those days along with the huge platform shoes. Flapping along behind me !!

I remember one Christmas sitting on the back of my husband's bike wearing a long dress and Afghan coat, it was sooooo cold.

Thanks for that Terry, sniff, sniff but to be honest I would far rather have my kids and would look rather silly riding my scooter or motor bike now. Well, that's what I tell myself, sniff, sniff.

WE'RE BUSY DOING NOTHING,
WORKING THE WHOLE DAY THROUGH.
TRYING TO FIND LOTS OF THINGS,
NOT TO DO.
WE'RE BUSY DOING NOTHING,
ISN T IT JUST A CRIME?
WE'D LIKE TO BE UNHAPPY,
BUT WE NEVER DO HAVE THE TIME.

VM I HAVE TO WATCH THE RIVER,
TO SEE THAT IT DOESN'T STOP.
AND STICK AROUND THE ROSE BUDS,
SO THEY'LL KNOW WHEN TO POP.
AND KEEP THE CRICKETS CHEERFUL,
THEY'RE REALLY A SOLEMN BUNCH.
HUSTLE, BUSTLE,
AND ONLY AN HOUR FOR LUNCH.

WE'RE BUSY GOING NOWHERE,
ISN'T IT JUST A CRIME?
WE'D LIKE TO BE UNHAPPY,

VM I HAVE TO WATCH THE SUN UP,
HE'S LIABLE TO SLEEP ALL DAY.
AND THEN INSPECT THE RAINBOWS,
SO THEY'LL BE BRIGHT AND GAY.
I MUST REHEARSE THE SONGBIRDS,
TO SEE THAT THEY SING IN KEY.
