I can see where you are coming from Muffy and no, it isn't just you. I know I am a lot older but to me they are using their child to reflect how young they, the mother are. Maybe not distasteful as some of the children are pretty and maybe not overdressed for their age. I find it more sad that the mothers don't have the courage to act their age and leave their teenage years behind. |

They are training their girls to sacrifice their lives to advertisers just as they have done. |

It's not so much that the girls are experimenting...we all did that when we were that age..it's their mothers having identical *do's* and displaying their *mini-me's* for the whole world to see. |

I have a friend who is a hairdresser. While picking up her 10 y.o. granddaughter from school one of the mums asked her if she would come to a "pamper party" for her daughter and her friends (also 10 y.o.) My friend asked what she wanted her to do at the party and she was asked if she would put blonde highlights in the girls' hair. She said no they aren't old enough to have such chemicals in their hair. So the mum got someone else to do it :-( |

I just hate to see some of the little kids over here ............ 4 or 5 years old, walking around the mall with their parents, and in very sexualised clothing! |

I've seen 12 year olds with acrylic nails - how daft is that? Not only do they ruin their natural nails they must get in the way in PE at school. |

Got lots of my daughter's friends' mothers on my FB page.......becoming increasingly concerned by how they seem happy to portray their barely 13 yr old daughters as mini adults in their status's. |
