Shirley, we had that Cherry Blossom record, an old 78 when we had a wind up gramaphone given us. I think my brother has it now unless he's chucked it or sold it. |

He won't be forgotten in a hurry, that's for sure. Rest in peace, Kenny. |

North Shields Round Table organised a Jazz Band Ball in Tynemouth in the late 1960's in aid of the local Children's Society with Kenny Ball the main attraction. |

"I love You Samantha" is David Jacobs signature tune,I always record his show late on Sunday evening and listen in the week. I guess he will be playing some of Kenny's hits in the next few weeks.RIP Kenny |

think that would have been Eddie Calvert Shirley - I adored Kenny Ball - he did lots of gigs are our local hospital - the hospital hairdresser was a friend of his so any time Kenny was in the vicinity he would do a gig cash in hand to reap back some tax and we were the beneficiaries - Midnight in Moscow was one of his |

I remember the first record I bought was his Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White. Drove the family mad playing it over and over on the old wind up gramaphone |
