Oh dear , poor John you most have been so lonely if you first posted on chat in 2001 with no other members joining until 2003 :-( ;-)

JustJohn Report 9 Mar 2013 20:38

Joeva. I was quite young then too. The loneliness was difficult.

Mind, I never had a report till 2003. And discussion in those first two years was brill ;-)

""Have just subscribed for a further year.

Have been on Genes since 1971 but only on chat since 2001"".

Now can I have the last word.

John.

Doubt wether you have been a member since 1971 as Steve didn't start GC until November 2002,

Ask ~~~Lynda~~~ she was one of the 1st people to join.

I joined December 2002 but closed the account Just after Christmas 2003.jouned again 2004 cos I missed the laughs we used to have.

Don't think any one could have been a member in 1971 :-S

Genes Reunited, originally known as Genes Connected, is a genealogy website that was launched in the UK in 2003 as a sister-site to Friends Reunited.[1] Since then it has grown to become one of the UK's largest genealogy websites, with over 12 million members and over 780 million names listed.
Genes Reunited was created by Friends Reunited founders Steve and Julie Pankhurst of Barnet, Hertfordshire.

Just to keep the thread going for Paula and add to what Sue in Leeds said at 22.14
