due to pain in hands,arms and shoulders.

get mine from Bravissimo - but back fastening ones

Try the ones - various different names - currently widely advertised that are all stretch and no fastenings. You could even get into them feet first meaning just a bit of a wriggle at the top. Come usually in batches of 3. No adjustable straps but pretty supportive - mine were described as going up to E cup but can't find brand name!

I did google but so many companies and after todays debacle was reluctant.

Cannot bend or I fall over so that is that style but see some companies recommended so will look at those.

Thank you to all who offered advice - perhaps the other seekers will benefit from this also.

Ann blimey I find it hard enough having a g cup wonder what happened to my nice little pert ones of years ago suppose thats what 3 children and a load of drugs do for you sure mine account for a lot of my weight.

Found the brand of the "no fastening" ones - Aspect Two. There are several others often with quite large ads in the women's mags.

I've seen a bra advertised that has no fastenings...... is that what you're talking about?

I'd probably end up with it tangled up in my ears & one armpit.

If I find one that fits properly I buy at least two! Wide straps, three hooks, and not too much lace, but I don't want a "granny" bra.

I think I'll leave mine off for a while..... my wrinkles disappear when I take it off :-D

I tried one of those much advertised bras with no fastenings - the result was hilarious - my ample boobs took on a life of their own, totally - talk about puddings boiling over - not nice - and please, no one envy me, they have been the bane of my life, received some disgusting comments from men over the years and worked with men who always spoke to my bust - walked through the grounds of the hospital where I worked heading for another department - passed some workmen with a concrete mixer - as I passed I heard one of thm say "Cor, look at the t**s on that" - I blew my top, went back and asked him how he would like to hear someone speak of his wife like that - wiped the smile off his smug face I can tell you

Ann, I know what you mean. Having big bangers is not an easy ride, not just the comments and looks, but buying tops is a pain

I struggle to find a crisp white shirt as the front 'gapes' open :-(

Before the kids, I was always a nice 'C' cup, but after each birth, they just got bigger and bigger

I have found this thread very interesting. Though I do not have a problem in this department yet, getting the bra on, I may at some later stage, and like to knowall there is to know.
As has been mentioned, after the years of childbirth, and the 'sag', later in life comes all the drugs, and the increase in size. I too think this is responsible for a good deal of the weight I carry.
Scozz I too hate the gaping blouse, and often have a larger size to get round this problem, as I do with things that tend to be made from any sort of fabric that is likely to 'cling'.
My problem is that, when in hospital, a lot of times, and not wanting to wear the bra I would when dressed, I would like to wear something under my night clothes. I find it embarrasing when the consultant and his young entourage come to the bed to do their rounds, and I am hung down to the waist. Not a good impression on these young minds, and not comfotable for me. Whilst not wanting to be 'trussed up' all night, I would like to wear something. I had wondered about the soft 'sports bra's' that I have seen around. The wrong thing can prove an expensive mistake.

Morning Julia. How about a maternity sleep bra? If you google, there is a good selection on the nct.shop.co.uk site. I particularly like the Carriwell Lace Night-time bra (£16 + postage).

Scozz - that is why I initially pointed out you can put the no-fastening ones on feet first! I use them mostly to sleep, not that I really need them there but I do wander round in a dressinggown for sometime in the morning and feel better for the support.

Julia - I think you would find them excellent - good for the morale and comfortable - in hospital. I haven't tried sports bras but I think they are a bit firm, enough to stop any movement.

how brave are you girl :-) my friend's daughter had a double mastectomy and reconstruction last Friday - she's home and doing really well - hope it continues - as for you, I do hope everything goes well for you - do not have a Dolly Parton job - go for something more petite :-D

Surely the most logical way to put on a bra if you cannot do it up the 'normal' way
is to do it up at the front, turn it round and then slip your arms in the straps and pull up. That is how I put mine on.

Can't pull my bra round. Lots of selection from websites recommended last night.

Ann and Julia - I think that soon between losing height, drugs, putting on weight, not very mobile I shall soon be able to throw them over my shoulder and problem will be solved.
