Mine also has not increased, but parking charges have gone up and a myriad of other ancilliary charges also gone up. So although the Council Tax has not risen they are getting it back in other ways.

Ours went up by £4 on the year, and that was from the Parish precept and the Police & Crime Commisioner. Pardon? That used to be listed as ' Police Authority'. Anyway. 2% of their portion for each.

As the borough and county contributions haven't increased since 2011, I hope that services haven't been cut to the extent that users are being put at risk.

PF. 12% is a massive increase. And, with energy companies applying budget busting increases this winter, a very cold end to March, and huge increases forecast for next winter.......

Well, it will be a bleak winter next year for most vulnerable :-( :-(

Not a pretty picture in Southampton for OAP's. We have been relieved of our 10% discount tax (don't think it should have been approved by previous council anyway - just a gimmick!!) add to that an increase of 1.9% and we are faced with nearly a 12% increase in one go. We'll manage somehow!!!!

Unfortunately, when my letter plops on doormat, it will not be good news.

RCT (Rhondda Cynon Taf) has increased council tax by 4%. So for a typical Band B terraced house it will be £1069pa and for a 4 bedroomed modern estate house (Band E) it will be £1681. :-( :-(

We have a Labour Government in Wales, we do desperately need to invest locally, so will be surprised if it causes a big hoo-haa.

Ours is frozen again, is apparently the 5th cheapest in the country and we aren't paying for anything we haven't been paying for.

Mine hasn't increased either, but are we getting the same services as three years ago???

My council is also charging for services that used to be free.
