I used to buy that Ann, but lately have just been putting some powder in a small sandwich bag to take with me. I have been known to use washing up liquid to wash things, as we always go self catering so have to buy that there.

I don't go near a Waitrose so will try our Sainsburys.

Liz re hand washing on holiday, we always carry a small tube of handwash, it is not heavy to carry and a little goes a long way.

I have used Dizolve, they are available in Waitrose stores.

They do dissolve completely. No nasty gunge in the machine.

They are available in two fragrances

Linen and Lavender.

Beware they are a bit fragile, and getting them out of their plastic pouch is a bit of a fiddle. But they are a jolly good idea.

Liz, these sheets are for use in the washing machine.

At present they are only available in Canada from the manufacturer at Moncton, New Brunswick. Cost, including p & p is $15, I was told when I phoned on Thursday, enquiring about them. Oh, PLUS 13% tax. We must NEVER forget the tax which is pretty well on everything!
(International postage stamp to UK, Oz is $1.85 + 24 cents tax = $2.09 up to 30 grams. Approx. £1.35)

Apparently these sheets will be available in the stores here in a couple of months. It’s strange they are available in UK and not here in the place of manufacture! Even stranger to order washing detergent from the manufacturer and not get it directly from the supermarket!! Definitely a first for me.

The reason I ask about Dizolve is that a couple of years ago my late Margaret discovered, bought and always used a similar wavy shaped sheet called Purex 3 in 1.

Purex is a very big name in detergents yet these 3 in 1 sheets (boxes of 20 in different odours) were always very sparse. They have disappeared completely over the last year - they never seemed to be advertised at all - and links for them have been removed.
I have a few of these sheets left for my washing days and would like to continue using this efficient detergent and its quick and easy method to prepare my wash.
Purex 3 in 1 sheets do not dissolve, however; at the end of drying cycle they are very handy to clean lint from within the dryer’s filter.

That’s why I wondered if anyone has used Dizolve; it seems this will likely be my replacement detergent!

I'd be worried they'd end up like a tissue.

Why do rogue tissues always end up in the "dark" wash?

How do they work out price wise? Can they be used for handwashing?

Might be useful to pop a few in my suitcase as i often want to rinse something out to freshen it up while away and carrying a bag of powder or sachets adds to the weight of my luggage.

From your link, it would seem one sheet per wash. That might be fine in a soft or medium soft water hardness area, but probably not so good for a hard water one. I'm always sceptical when they give you measured doses

I'd be inclined to compare the price with other non-bio washing detergent on the shelves.

Has anyone seen these detergent sheets in the supermarkets - or bought and used them?
If so, what are your thoughts about them, please?
