It is also illegal to impersonate a Chelsea Pensioner (which once carried the death sentence in the 19th century). Wife beating is, however, perfectly legal just so long as it is not after 9pm and doesn't disturb the neighbours.

here is one I actually remember

It could be regarded an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British king or queen's image upside-down
