I don't use FB on a regular basis but have I been contacted a number of times by people I had lost contact with. I was contacted last year by my second cousin asking me to go to her wedding. It was so nice that this delightful young woman had thought about me, we now keep in touch. <3

Mostly my contacts don't put photos on as I don't either, I would never put photos of Grandchildren on there although the older ones put photos of themselves on sometimes.

I do see some posts that to me are not interesting or boring but I skip over those. You can always hide people so you don't receive their posts, or are you talking personal messages? Most of my 'friends' are family or GR/exGR.

l did too but they are'nt putting photo's on much now, son and d i l don't like adding pics of the children,although they know l had added some, same with daughter and relations abroad.....it was brill for all of that.

l did get fed up with 2 contacts, all l got was how poorly they felt (again) and silly jokes and photo's of a friend who has alzheimers, awful photo's to be honest, if she knew she was being shown to the world like that, she would be so hurt:((

Yes its easy, there is a link which l can add here if anyone wants it. l have had an email to say it is deactivated for 14days then it deletes:))

l'll have to see how long l can leave it before l miss it...lol

PS...Sharron l used to play scrabble, but people got fed up with me cause l did'nt play all day.....lol

I rarely do anything other than play Scrabble on Facebook.

It is possible to totally delete the account but quite complicated

Luckily enough I do not have a lots of 'friends' on FB and those I have are like me, we still phone one another.

But we all find FB great for sharing our old photos etc.,

I didn't think you could delete once in their claws always in their claws. I only found option to deactivate. :-S

Have you deleted or deactivated? There is quite a big difference.

......Face Book, it was getting boring and time consuming, alot of my contacts are'nt posting as much especially family, so we'll all have to rely on email or the telephone/mobile more:))
