Age is a State of Mind

Sometimes my mind is in a terrible state

:-D

Seriously, I know people in their eighties who are full of life, always having fun......... and I know people in their twenties who are OLD! Sad.

suzanne, i was a nurse for 34yrs, but didnt have to travel far. i cut my 37hrs down to 20 per week when i was 50. i was shattered after each shift,i loved my job as you do. but the more experienced you are, i found they pile more work onto you. sort out your finances, make a plan and stick to it. life isnt all about work and money. think about yourself, dont burn yourself out, its just not worth it. things will stay the same unless you do something about it. good luck :-D

You're still a youngster at 50 :-D

As for a fading memory...erm!...ah! when I can rember what advice I was going to give you, I'll post it :-D

Just throw another couple of squirrels on the Barby (just make sure that they still have their nuts!) and enjoy a glass or two of wine or whatever, and relax!

You could probably do with a holiday :-)

my babys hugs get me through kay, they are adorable

my job as a pediatric palliative care nurse means i have to travel long distances, but this has only been going on for the last 6 months, the traveling is really doing me in.
plus the gray hair, and the sleeping all the time. :-D

That's a pity as travelling can be very wearing.Could you not work part-time in your job? or (easy for me to say I know) work nearer home?
In my last years at work I changed jobs, worked less hours towards my retirement but it certainly helped me a lot.

Good luck if you can and hope you find a solution...your baby hugs will help :-D
