Thank you everybody. Yes, I went to visit Phil after lunch today. He looked a little more alert than he usually does. Perhaps he knew it was a special day! (I doubt it though). I asked one of the carers to take some photos of us on my camera, then I sat and held his hand and chatted to him for an hour, by which time his eyes were drooping, so I came home. An hour is usually enough for me, since he doesnt seem to respond much. Besides, the traffic on the motorway builds up in the afternoon.

I put 2 of the photos on my FB page for those who can visit it.

The photos are lovely Huia, and your hair has grown back well. Phil did look more alert than on other photos, I am sure he felt the love from you and something inside told him it was a good day.
