I have to pay bedroom tax and now some council tax, it works out about an extra £90 plus a mth I have to find....Im on ESA income related....Think I may have plant a money tree :-S

if you are on any kind of benefit you are now expected to pay 20% of your council tax

brother in law is on invalidity benefit and was paying interest only on his mortgage with alliance and liecester
now it's santander they are insisting he pays full mortgage extra £100+ a month
then gets letter of council asking for £20 a month towards council tax

That must be income related ESA where you get housing benefit and the like?

Did you know that from now on if you are on ESA sick pay
you now have to pay 20% of your council tax bill
out of your benefit
