Hi folks, was hopeing for some advice. Ive recently returned from Jerby on IoM and want to continue my search.....having some difficulties with this site tho.....can i not get their records on here? :-S

jax Report 20 Mar 2013 22:09

This may help

You will only find census's on this site for the IOM 1841-1911

Karen Report 20 Mar 2013 22:35

Aww thanks chick... i know the records only go back so far but i cant find IOM census on here, anyways that site you suggested is just the ticket so CHEERS :-D

ChrisofWessex Report 20 Mar 2013 23:02

Also if you have research in IOM join the IOMFHS - £10 per year and 4 magazines and lots of help.

The Manx census interesting you will find out if ancestors spoke Manx or English or both.

Good luck.

RolloTheRed Report 6 Apr 2013 10:25

One of my tribe was Bishop of Sodor and Isle of Man, a fluent Manx speaker.

The free Ay 1881 census is here
