I have just checked the weather forecast and it looks like heavy snow starting this evening about 9pm and continuing non stop through Friday and Saturday.
What joy!

Yes Errol, I have seen it, and it is also for us here in Derbyshire.

OH managed to get the chemist to allow him to pick up my Morphine this morning, though it was not due until tomorrow, Better safe than sorry.

Was expecting a visit from two daughters on Saturday afternoon, but the one that does the driving, will not do so in the snow. And I have been trying to get an Afghan (sp), finished ready for one of them. All done now, but will they come.

Told the OH to double up on basics, if he manages to get out tomorrow.

Will be glad when it is all over, instead of keep coming and going.

Not given out much better for Easter Weekend. And I wanted to get in the garden. Some hopes if this keeps up. Was 21/23 temperature, this time last year.
Brrr,Brrr, Brrr.

Julia I am not a million miles from you.

Incidentally, forgive my ignorance but what is an Afghan?
A dog?
A coat?
An assylum-seeking lodger?

:-D :-D :-D @Errol, you do make me laugh.

Hello Julie, we were hoping to get to see my sister in Ashbourne tomorrow. I HATE snow so we will not be moving far over the weekend. It is not the driving there, but the uncertainty about the weather for the homeward journey that concerns me .:-( :-( :-(

EDIT JULIA :-D

Julia

Julia Report 21 Mar 2013 14:44

Well Errol, all three LOL,
but in this case ity is a crocheted bed/lounger wool cover, with a intricate pattern.

Oh you have made me laugh.

Blimey it looks like we all live in our own little snow bound enclave.

Glad I gave you a smile whilst the dark clouds gather

Paula, I am about 25 miles from the gorgeous Ashbourne, and even I wouldn't go there this weekend. As you say, it is not the getting there that is a bother, it is the getting back home.

Keep on making us laugh Errol, we will need it befor the weekend is out

Wend Report 21 Mar 2013 16:03

Just popped in while I have a cuppa and I see that our Errol is keeping the ladies entertained in this cold weather! Ta Errol, you've tickled me too :-D

Ruddy weather - I'm fed up with it :-| Like you commented recently Julia, I can hardly move in my conservatory for plants and, as someone else said (maybe Emma or Barb?), my pots have also been in and out like a fiddler's elbow over the past couple of weeks!

~~~~~~~~~ to Paula. Keep warm guys and gals.
PollyinBrum
PollyinBrum Report 21 Mar 2013 16:28
Hello Wend, would you like a Afghan too?
@ Eroll :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
Wend
Wend Report 21 Mar 2013 16:57
I wouldn't say no Paula - that'll warm me up :-D
Julia
Julia Report 21 Mar 2013 17:00
Well, Afghan is now finished and pressed, and also bagged up for collection. Bet they don't come because of the blessed snow.
Sorry Paula, can't take orders, too much work in them. I have only done this one because I did one at Christmas for first daughter, and must keep the peace.LOL
Anyway, Merlin always says everyone is behind him in the queue for anything LOL
Errol, the gritter wagon went down the street over an hour ago. Not a good sign, not a good sign, at all, and the wind is beginning to get up. Oh Lawdy, lawdy.
Wend, I know what you mean with the plants. I am getting fed up with seeing the conservatory in the state it is in.
I worst fear over this snow is that, my bowels decide they want to visit St. Elsewhere, because an Ambulance would never get down here. LOLOL
Keep laughing and smiling
Soon to be snow bound. Ha,Ha,Ha,
Well the wind is howling here at the moment and I have just spotted the odd flake come fluttering down in that tantalising way in which they do.
I am trying to decide what to cook for tonight that will warm the cockles of my heart.
BarbinSGlos Report 21 Mar 2013 17:44
AnninGlos Report 21 Mar 2013 17:49
I was just going to say it was still dry here Barb but very cold with an easterly wind. However, looking out of the window something is coming down that looks as if it could be sleet. ugh!!
eRRolSheep Report 21 Mar 2013 17:57
Errol - We are expecting snow this evening in Geordieland. Forecaster reckons we may get a few inches tonight.
Try a Lamb Korma with Pilau rice.
