I have not been on here before so I hope you do not mind me adding something about weather.

My army son, his wife, daughter and daughter in laws family live in Belfast and the photos they have been sending show truly appalling weather. Many roads completely blocked, snow very high, ominous sky, and hundreds of people stranded.

We're I live in Spain we had snow for a few hours earlier in the year but not for long, more heavy rain then usual, the sun is coming through but the wind makes us feel colder than normal.

For those who are experiencing very bad weather, I hope you are safe and that the weather improves soon,

Bridget

How will your Afghan houseguest get home?
Although he should be used to the snow.

Very thick snow here - hasn't stopped all night and looks like continuing.

I am supposed to be going out this morning but no buses running so may have to walk/stumble.

We've got oodles and oodles of the stuff. Road closures a plenty.
And the Blessed dog would not go out again, this morning.
I'm sure the daughters will not get through to pick up the Afghan, and now, matching pillow.
Just another day in snowbound Derbyshire

Keep warm and dry everybody
And don't travel unless you have to.

It was in 1954, but there has been major advancements in technology since then and I believe they are called onions now. ;-)

GeordiePride

all knowledge was obtained from the 1954 Christmas edition of the Beano regarding allium cepas.

Island - I have a three legged one but one is wobbly
AnnC - it really is hurting and I'm afraid Vaseline wouldn't help in this case.
