**Ann** ,
It's stopped snowing here now and all we have is a light dusting of snow on the car , non on the ground it's too wet .

although the wind seems to have eased off a bit , it's still really cold here . i have had the heating on all day today '

JustJohn Report 23 Mar 2013 19:21

Just seen this on news: " In North Wales the British Red Cross ferried hospital staff, paramedics and renal patients to hospitals using 4x4 vehicles.

David Hallows, service manager for emergency response for the Red Cross in North Wales, said: "I've never seen snow like it. It's a metre thick in places and it's not drifting."

Nothing much at all in S Wales. Just hope you are all ok up there. Sounds like bad flooding once snow melts away next couple of days:-( :-(

AnnCardiff Report 23 Mar 2013 19:14

have seen no snow here - son informs me there's a covering on Caerphlly mountain which is a couple of miles north of here - very windy and bitingly cold though - wish it would snow as it might warm up a bit - t lest the incessan rain has stopped - two whole days of torrential rain was more than enough

**Ann** Report 23 Mar 2013 19:10

Well it's just given -5 wind chill tomorrow.....heaven help us,

Oh yes please Ann :-D
I saw on the news last night about Flintshire it looked quite deep .
i manged to get out with my son this afternoon to do some shopping
but by the time we got back it had started to snow again ,The wind here has died down quite a bit this afternoon . :-)

**Ann** Report 23 Mar 2013 17:57

Hi Hazel,

I live in the county of Flintshire 2 mins from the A55, think about 20 odd miles from you. Saw on the web cams this morning that there was hardly any snow your way. The snow had started again a while ago and the wind has picked up again, so hope we don't have to dig our way out again in the morning! Have taken some good photos on the ipad you want one? ;-)

Ann ,
We dont have much here in Prestatyn it's been snowing most of the time except maybe for a couple of hours but it hasn't laid as was too wet ..... but now it's starting to lay :((
I have lived here for 26 yrs and never seen so much snow :-(

GinN Report 23 Mar 2013 17:21

Been snowing on and off all day and it's finally lying.
Had three ducks from our village pond on our patio all afternoon. They kept tapping on the window, so I've finally given them some bread, I think they'll be back.
Roast duck tomorrow, maybe?! ;-)

**Ann** Report 23 Mar 2013 17:20

It is starting again Joy......we have lived in this house for 30 years and never seen anything like it.....son is now trying to dig out his van and is not happy! ;-)

JoyBoroAngel Report 23 Mar 2013 15:23

oh Ann that sounds serious :-(

**Ann** Report 23 Mar 2013 15:04

Well it has taken OH several hours to dig us out of the drive to enable us to get a few provisions as they say there is more to come :-0

Must be 2ft here in NWales where we live. 2 mile down the road and they have 6inches!

The snow now is shovelled into 4ft piles either side of the drive! :-0

JoyBoroAngel Report 23 Mar 2013 14:56

no merlin but we havent had our 16 inches yet

a few odd flakes thats all up to now

Merlin Report 23 Mar 2013 14:13

Joy, Have you been reading "Great Expectations"? :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D ;-)

GinN Report 23 Mar 2013 14:10

Yes, cats always blame us! We have no (lying) snow, but mine is complaining very vociferously about the icy winds, and I'm being careful to keep out of the way of her striking claws!

Merlin Report 23 Mar 2013 14:10

Annina,as far as they are concerned,it is your fault, you are expected to ensure that everything you do is for their comfort, :-D and sadly ,in their opinion you have failed to do so by not clearing the snow away quickly enough, thus failing to do the jobs they expect of you.. :-D :-D.Ps. have you provided them with Hot Water Bottles yet? if not beware, they have sharp claws. ;-)

Annina Report 23 Mar 2013 14:01

I cleared 16 ins of snow in my back garden today to make a runway for the cats to go out. Mind you, this was where it had drifted. Also cleared a runway to the caravan so they can go under there.

All four are in a bad mood and think that I am responsible for it.

JoyBoroAngel Report 22 Mar 2013 09:51

16 inches is a lot of snow :-(

i think i like rain better than snow maggie :-D :-D

maggiewinchester Report 21 Mar 2013 22:49

We've got a yellow warning for rain :-|

Still, it's better than yellow snow :-D
