I cleared 16 ins of snow in my back garden today to make a runway for the cats to go out. Mind you, this was where it had drifted. Also cleared a runway to the caravan so they can go under there.

All four are in a bad mood and think that I am responsible for it.

Annina,as far as they are concerned,it is your fault, you are expected to ensure that everything you do is for their comfort, :-D and sadly ,in their opinion you have failed to do so by not clearing the snow away quickly enough, thus failing to do the jobs they expect of you.. :-D :-D.Ps. have you provided them with Hot Water Bottles yet? if not beware, they have sharp claws. ;-)

Yes, cats always blame us! We have no (lying) snow, but mine is complaining very vociferously about the icy winds, and I'm being careful to keep out of the way of her striking claws!

Well it has taken OH several hours to dig us out of the drive to enable us to get a few provisions as they say there is more to come :-0

Must be 2ft here in NWales where we live. 2 mile down the road and they have 6inches!

The snow now is shovelled into 4ft piles either side of the drive! :-0

Been snowing on and off all day and it's finally lying.
Had three ducks from our village pond on our patio all afternoon. They kept tapping on the window, so I've finally given them some bread, I think they'll be back.
Roast duck tomorrow, maybe?! ;-)

Hi Hazel,

I live in the county of Flintshire 2 mins from the A55, think about 20 odd miles from you. Saw on the web cams this morning that there was hardly any snow your way. The snow had started again a while ago and the wind has picked up again, so hope we don't have to dig our way out again in the morning! Have taken some good photos on the ipad though......do you want one? ;-)

AnnCardiff Report 23 Mar 2013 19:14

have seen no snow here - son informs me there's a covering on Caerphlly mountain which is a couple of miles north of here - very windy and bitingly cold though - wish it would snow as it might warm up a bit - t lest the incessan rain has stopped - two whole days of torrential rain was more than enough
