It snowing here in gloomy Plumstead and it's settling

We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars, Oscar Wilde New avatar, my dad age about 3/4 months, could have been worse, it could have been the awful nude on a rug!!

Plumstead . my that brings back family memories. Our family came from that area of SE London. I was mostly brought up in Charlton .mostly cos WW2 evacuation split the family till we all came back together after the war.
My mum was at my brothers house in Plumstead in 1980 when she suddenly passed away.

Funny how just one word can spark off memories..

Sorry nothing at all to do with snowy Plumstead today

Brings back memories to me too, Shirley. I went to school on Plumstead Common and I lived in Charlton until I was 16.

Potty, where did you live in Charlton ? we lived in Floyd Road just up from the football club. My dad worked all his life at the Woolwich Arsenal . Still have family in Charlton .

a lot of my family lived in plumstead also came from rainham essex also used to work in woolwich. many moons ago.

Shirley and Jaqueline, I lived on Prince Henry Road, up near Shooters Hill. Was Floyd Road near where the sweep lived? I remember walking down there to book him.

Jaqueline, I went to Charlton Manor too at the same time! Small world!

I live just off Plumstead Common just behing Plumstead Manor School and the Old Mill Pub.

Moved here some 15 years ago from Rotherhither, prior to that lived at the Elephant & Castle.

Love Plumstead hate Woolwich......
