3 small prayers for today, Palm Sunday

Dear All

Hello

As today is Palm Sunday, many churches would hold parts of the service outdoors.

With the weather and conditions so bad, many people have not been able to get to a church, let alone for an outside gathering to go ahead.

I was going to add a couple of prayers about Palm Sunday but I came across these
ones instead.

Today, somehow, they feel appropriate to add.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Treated badly"

Dear God,

I know I am being treated badly by the people
who ought to be taking care of me.

Dear God,

Make it easy for me to tell someone who can help".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Don't let go"

Dear God,

Sometimes I feel so poorly, I am afraid I will let go of life.

Dear God,
Please never let go of me".

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Protect Our Home"

Save our home from rain and flood

and wind and gale and storm;

save our home from frost and snow and keep us dry and warm.

May our home be happy,

May our home be cosy

May our home be safe and

May our home be blessed always".

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope you have liked them.

Take gentle care
Very best wishes
Elizabeth

Lovely prayers, Elizabeth.:-) :-)<3

What has struck me today is that the King of Kings could have ridden into his citadel of Jerusalem with the finest white horses. Yet he chose a young ass, untrained and unbroken. And this young ass was surrounded by probably thousands of people and yet meekly obeyed. Even when palm branches were thrown in front of him, the ass kept walking surefootedly down from Bethany to Jerusalem below.

Jesus must have been so calm and confident. Such authority. Such humility :-) :-)

Dear Paula

Hello

I am glad you liked them.

Sometimes, I look for prayers or poems
to add and I can't seem to find ones that are suitable.

But by chance, those ones just seemed to feel right.

Thank you for replying.

Take gentle care
Best wishes
