Mum In Law

Had a lovely day today. We took my Hubby's Mum out for a birthday lunch. She is 95 today, a real sweetheart, and has all her marbles. She doesn't walk too well now, which is understandable as she had an agricultural accident when a teenager, which nearly severed her foot. She is still in her own house, though her youngest son still lives with her - says that having to look after him keeps her young.
I feel really lucky to have such a smashing MiL!
Happy birthday, Mum, and many more of them. :-) <3

AnnCardiff Report 26 Mar 2013 22:40

how lovely - only place I'd like to have taken my mother in law was the local cemetary on a one way ticket

GinN Report 26 Mar 2013 22:46

Oh dear, Ann!
Does anyone else have a dragon of a MiL, or are lucky like me?

AnnCardiff Report 26 Mar 2013 23:02

my daughter in law is lucky - she has me and I love her to bits and vice versa - always said whoever my son married, I would be a nice mother in law, but I don't have to try with her - she's a gem

Sharron Report 27 Mar 2013 10:16

Is she looking for a husband?

GinN Report 27 Mar 2013 11:34

I'll ask her, Sharon, but I think she values her independence too much!
She lives in Lincolnshire - does Fred like Lincolnshire sausages in his legendary sandwiches? :-D

Sharron Report 28 Mar 2013 14:28

As he can't cook for himself he likes any kind of sausage hegets in his sandwich.

He is properly trained.
