I have a lovely MIL I would hardly call her sweet she is a tipical mill girl hard as nails,but she has always been lovely to me althrough my SIL's tend to disagree, I must of came along as she was mellowing :-D

my daughter in law is lucky - she has me and I love her to bits and vice versa - always said whoever my son married, I would be a nice mother in law, but I don't have to try with her - she's a gem

Had a lovely day today. We took my Hubby's Mum out for a birthday lunch. She is 95 today, a real sweetheart, and has all her marbles. She doesn't walk too well now, which is understandable as she had an agricultural accident when a teenager, which nearly severed her foot. She is still in her own house, though her youngest son still lives with her - says that having to look after him keeps her young.
I feel really lucky to have such a smashing MiL!
