It is genuine and I hate it, I have opted to go back to the 'old' appearance.

I did have a pop-up box when I opened googlemail this morning talking about the 'changes' they have made, so it's lilkely to be genuine.

Haven't sent an email from that account today, so couldn't say exactly what the changes are. There might have been something about being able to minimize an email you're drafting to read an incoming one, rather than having to save it to 'Draft'?

I'm getting messages in gmail covering my attempts to 'compose' a new email, and also when I enter a received (incoming) email to ' reply'.
They go like this, on an overlying black background:
"Here's how the new compose works" & "Here's how the new reply works" Anyone know whether these are genuine gmail messages, or attempts to "invade" the system?
