i dont believe how people are so flipping lazy, i was sitting in the car at t##cos people were putting their shopping in there car and just leaving their shopping trollys on a narrow footpath blocking it so people with puchchairs and disabled scooters cant get past.

Not all people who are fat are over eaters John. ....if my Mother read that she'd be devastated that people would think that of her.......Tad judgemental that tbh imho.

Hi Michael,
That's one of the reasons they introduce the 'pay' trolly!!
I personally like my chauffeur to park near a trolly bay :-D

Probably the same people who pack up there shopping at the tills then leave the empty trolley for the next person in the queue to maneuver around :-(

I love walking, Lolly, and will happily do 10 miles a day. My brother hated walking and would never walk 200 yards if he could drive it.

We both have always eaten a lot. He was overweight with diabetes etc and died at 57. I am still really good at 67.

Is it not compassionate to suggest fat people do the most walking in supermarket car parks and clear the places next to the entrance for those who may need those spaces more.?

LollyWithSprinklez

LollyWithSprinklez Report 29 Mar 2013 22:59

If as you admit you are not qualified to comment on medical conditions then why are you assuming that all fat people are shoveling food in their mouths?

Perhaps you should also read up about calorific intake 4.000 calories is not the recommended by the GMC for women

LollyWithSprinklez Report 29 Mar 2013 23:04

Then John you are very lucky to be able to walk and exercise, please try to remember there are plenty of us who cant and find exercise near enough impossible.

We dont always eat a lot but struggle to lose weight against the odds

Oh I see John has pulled his last post . Which accused me of having less compassion than him :-S

Not just hypocritical but cowardly too

Apologies to Michael for moving sideways from your thread :-)

LollyWithSprinklez Report 29 Mar 2013 23:18

No Michael I wasn't assuming it was you, your thread was designed to highlight IMO the unfairness of other people against the less able, which was worthwhile discussing

Lolly. I will repeat my last post (expect it will also get whooshed but will try).
1. I did qualify what I meant in an answer to Muffy, I think it was. People with a high BMI who shovel food into their mouths. So that excludes anybody else who may have an unhealthy BMI but doesn't overeat.
2. I think it is 2,500 cals for a man and 2,000 for a woman roughly. But think that is for a person who can do a fair amount of exercise.
3. I said I was more compassionate than you. To be honest, I have no idea who is compassionate and who is not. But it can sometimes be very compassionate to give someone a kick if you think they could do more about their health. I wish I had said something to my bro about his food habits and his smoking and drinking. I miss him, and 57 is ridiculously young to die for totally avoidable reasons.

it is very rare to find carts that you do not have to pay for over here.

Hence it is very rare to find carts that are not returned to where they belong ......... even 25c is worth retrieving.

Plus ................. if a cart is left in the wrong place, you can almost guarantee that some homeless person will take it back to the rank, and get the 25c for themselves!

LollyWithSprinklez

LollyWithSprinklez Report 29 Mar 2013 23:36

That John Is not repeating your last post, it is an edited version your post had no mention of any exclusions for those of us who do not overeat and certainly no qualifications.

What you did or didn't say to your brother is not my business but I would complain like hell if your kick was aimed in my direction
