It was dark
It doesn't seem to be part of the forecourt normally accessed by the general public
Didn't she have a torch?

Just imagine the 'dangers' if her patch included rural areas!

Just seen she is now wanting to drop the claim, a bit late now she's made herself look silly.

Our local Chief Constable has said he is disappointed she is making the claim, it's being funded by the Police Union or something. Cheeky mare?

Mayfield it is not up to them to do that but various members of the police and connected organisations have said they do not support her.
Maybe she was having a bad "woman" day

She,s a Chancer, trying it on for compensation. From the look of her in the papers she,s rather unfit to be a Police Officer.Perhaps the Garage owner should Sue for damage to his property through her tripping up. :-D :-D

I'm suprised someone in the police management has not had a "quiet word" it's not doing much for their image.

Doesn't surprise me one bit,

That's how things are now, Nothing is your own fault,

God gave you the ability to walk But apparently not looking where your going is never your fault,

As for the new type of police officer we have today I have very little or no respect for some of them, I had a female officer come to my house "making enquiries about a break in on my street" She insisted i lock my dog up so she could talk to me because she said she was terrified of dogs, I always put my dog on a leash when anyone comes to the house just as a precaution, I refuse to lock him up because It's his space and he lives hear too and at no time did he display any sign of aggression, unless you count wagging his tail at her as aggression.

What happened to the term......"In the line of duty" Good heavens what a fuss about nothing!

My dad was in many dangerous situations during his service....receiving a couple of commendations along the way.

He once chased a burglar along a roof top and crashed through it breaking his arm and shoulder.......he was back in work after being patched up typing his report with one hand......would not happen now!

it should have been nipped in the bud when the first i tripped over this and that got to the courts
when i was kid if i tripped over the only thing i was told was
"you should look where your walking"

I find it hard to put my thoughts into words, and maybe I shouldn't, but it is getting stupid now.
So next time a nurse gets hurt dealing with a patient, do they sue that patient because this is the way it seems to be going.

What did she expect? A full risk assessment and method statement?

Made me spit when I heard the report, today her boss said it was not the sort of reaction he expected from his officers.............absolutely right.

I hope she loses the suit and feels contrite that she has made herself a laughing stock in a noble profession.
