Doesnt matter the verdict today,,,,,

They both will have the right to an appeal........he of course is arrogant enough to take that right.

Also a right to a re-trial if any new evidence is found...

Silly Sausage Report 3 Apr 2013 10:34

I think she may of done, however in the events that followed it shows neither had any remorse, I dont think they set out to kill the children which is why they wasnt charged wtih murder, if she had pleaded gulity to manslaughter I dont even think she would get a prison sentence but she didnt she did exactly what he said, I feel absoloutely no pity for her at all by the way but she was controlled by him, the fact he was screaming at the scene to get to his children kiss one on the forehead and then ran to see where his wife was, to make sure she didnt blab and then who in the right mind calls a press confrance and thanks people like he is at an award show before begs for help to catch the killers of his children, he didnt need too he know who had set that fire.

I have followed this trial and no be honest I didnt think that they had a whole lot of evidence, her defence was mainly that she was under his total control and has a low IQ but what women behaves as she did after the death of all her children, going out to pubs visiting their friends shopping and she wasnt even by her dying sons bedside, lot alone what the 3 of them got up too in that hotel room. I am so glad they wasnt allowed to attend the children funnerals as he would of made that all about him, as up to his arrest he was doing anyway. Well done to the local people of Derby who was able to lay those poor children to rest.

just watched the Channel 5 documentary on this scum - unbelievable - they were put up in a Premier Inn with their co-conspiritor and were having sexual threesomes after the fire!!!! He tried to blame his innocent neighbours for the fire and they were arrested and had their children taken from them for a week - of course they were totally innocent

Its a woman judge tomorrow.

Punishment must be given for each of those childrens lost lives.

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 2 Apr 2013 21:28

for manslaughter the discretionary tariff of life can mean anything.
In theory the judge could award anything from an unconditional discharge up to a life sentence which carries a MINIMUM tariff

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 2 Apr 2013 21:15

well even if and when they are released from prison - if ever - they will have to be watching their backs for the rest of their lives

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 2 Apr 2013 20:54

I shall apologise in advance for this:

Neither seemed contrite or truly upset, he is a controlling vicious individual and she seems to be lacking any emotion at all.

I hope that their sentences are the maximum allowable against the manslaughter charge and they get their true punishment in prison via other inmates.

They lied to save their own necks about plotting to frame another for the fire, listening to the recordings of conversations between the two of them after the tragedy it was plain to me that the only regret they experienced was their arrests.

I sincerely hope they never get released and the rest of his children and family receive compassion from the community and can rebuild their lives.
