… that my sweet, bubbly, always laughing and joking sister-in-law passed away in hubby's arms shortly before 6 AM. She put up a very brave fight after being diagnosed with breast cancer seven and a half years ago! I shall miss her.

I am SO pleased I visited and took pictures on one of her 'good days' last October.

This very sad news is two weeks before my late Margaret passed last year - and thus S-in-L is the last of three sisters in their family each ‘claimed and taken’ by cancer!

What IS in the air, our water and food, etc. causing so many, many deaths from this evil killer?

Cancer is indeed an EPIDEMIC nowadays!

Do drug companies have the appropriate cure(s)…. or perhaps money (the making of) is still the "Root of all evil!"

Barry I am so sorry to hear of the death of your sister in law, it must renew all those feelings that you had when your Margaret passed away last year.

I wonder, was their cancer maybe genetic as all three sisters had it. I hope that the drug companies are doing research into genetic cancers, I think they might be as there are blood tests these days for some cancers I believe.

Thank you for your kind words, Ann, they are truly appreciated.

When I went to UK last year to scatter Margaret's ashes with her parents I went to the registrar's office and ordered their mother's death certificate. She - and HER mother - died from cardiac failure.
Perhaps like other illness, cancer can skip a generation or two.

If only we knew why the three girls had cancer....!

that's tough Barry - with all the money that is thrown at cancer research they seem to be no nearer a cure

So sorry for your recent loss Barry.

I am pleased for you that you have photos from the 'good' day spent last October. When I lost a dear friend, who lived hundreds of miles away to cancer, it was the memories of the past and our lovely time together just a short while before her death, which helped in the bleak days ahead.

Remember the good times.....
